Job Description
Job Title: Sessional Recovery Practitioner - 4 hours per week (Tuesdays, 9:30am -1:30pm)
Main Purpose:
To support the Devon Mental Health Alliance (DMHA) with facilitating face to face drop in sessions (public and peer support). Co facilitating sessions with a colleague, the post holder will need to plan and set up and deliver weekly sessions that engage people, offering support and sign posting to those attending in relation to their mental health and other factors that impact on their health and wellbeing.
Other tasks will include making telephone calls to potential clients to support their attendance at sessions and offering practical support with issues such as utility bills, health appointments, and basic benefit and housing information as required.
Training and induction will be provided along with a mobile phone and laptop.
Salary: Up to £25,500 full-time equivalent.
Contract: Fixed-term.
Location: Based in Torrington, candidate must live within 20 miles of location. Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile as agreed. A full UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
Hours: Part-time, 4 hours per week until 31st March 2027, with possibility to extend contract. Opportunity for additional cover hours.
Reporting to: Community Activities Coordinator.
Annual leave: You will be entitled to 6.6 weeks holiday (pro-rata) at your normal basic rate of pay per holiday year.
Pension: NEST Workplace Pension Scheme.
