Help Shape the Future of Play in Plymouth
Residents across Plymouth are being invited to have their say on the future of play in the city as part of an exciting programme designed to improve outdoor play spaces for children and families. Get involved for a chance to win a one-month family membership at Plymouth Life Centre.
Plymouth City Council has launched the Play in Our Places campaign, giving local communities the opportunity to share their views on what makes a great play space and how future investment should be delivered. The Council are particularly interested in hearing young peoples opinions and encourage professionals and families to support children and young adults to get involved.
The engagement campaign forms part of the Plymouth Playable Spaces Programme, a £3.7 million investment aimed at ensuring children across the city have access to outdoor play opportunities that are inclusive, accessible and engaging.
The Council is keen to hear about what works well in Plymouth's parks and play areas, what could be improved and what families would like to see in the future. Feedback gathered through the survey will help shape a city-wide play strategy and future investment plans.
Alongside the survey, Plymouth City Council will be running a 12 Days of Play programme throughout the summer, bringing free play sessions to parks and public spaces across the city. Families will be able to enjoy traditional games and activities designed to encourage outdoor play, build confidence and bring communities together.

The survey takes around five minutes to complete and is open until 6 September 2026.
