Efford Drop-in Expands into New Community Venue

Residents across Plymouth are invited to celebrate as the Efford Mental Health and Recovery Drop-in relocates to a new, larger venue this October, providing even more opportunities for people to connect, access support, and improve their wellbeing.

From Friday 2nd October, the weekly drop-in will take place at Efford Christian Fellowship, 20 Torridge Way, Plymouth, PL3 6JG, and will continue every Friday from 10am to 1pm. The move comes as the service has outgrown its current venue and is expanding to better meet the needs of the local community.

Join the Launch Celebration

To mark the opening of the new venue, visitors are invited to attend a special launch event on Friday 2nd October. Representatives from a range of health, wellbeing and community organisations will be on hand to offer information, advice and support, including:

The event will be a great opportunity for local people to learn more about services available in the city, meet new people, and discover sources of practical and emotional support.

What's Staying the Same?

While the venue is changing, many of the features that make the drop-in popular will remain:

  • Weekly Friday sessions

  • Free tea, coffee and biscuits

  • Friendly, informal atmosphere

  • Step-free access

  • Support from Devon Mental Health Alliance and Livewell Southwest

What's Changing?

As part of the move, session times have been updated following public feedback. The drop-in will now run as a morning session from 10am to 1pm, making it more accessible for attendees.
