Devon Mental Health Alliance and National Trust Collaboration

The local National Trust rangers gave the Bideford Public Drop In a unique challenge this spring - to paint one of a herd of fibreglass cows as part of an art installation celebrating the work the National Trust do in the Dunes and fields surrounding Marine Drive in Woolacombe, North Devon.
The project gave the Bideford Drop In group a wonderful collaborative opportunity and they have delivered an amazing piece of work that represents many of the individual stories within this group, as well as their artistic flair! It also drew out an incredible amount of wildlife knowledge stored within the group over the course of the project, which was completed in the spring with the installation being set up through May and June. North Devon Community Development Lead Phil Harris said “A big thank you to Fraser from the National Trust who had the vision and opportunity, but who also came along to the sessions to support the generation of ideas within the group, as well as providing suitable paints and materials. We are looking forward to further collaborations with Fraser and the National Trust team in future!”
