The Skate Molton Project

The Skate Molton project has been building for many months and is now fully functional (with more exciting additions to what they offer the wider community in the pipeline). Far from being 'just skating', the Skate Molton team offers space for young people to meet and join activities, The surprise here is the age range, with the oldest skater being 60+!

In September 2022, Skate Molton took a significant step forward by registering as a Community Interest Company (CIC). This transition allowed them formalise their operations and pursue their mission on a broader scale. They began hosting free-to-attend events at South Molton Pannier Market. These events brought the community together, offering skate sessions, non-skate related workshops, and access to other services and charitable organisations, make skating accessible to all, regardless of experience or financial means. They are also co-artists with the Devon Mental Health Alliance and the National Trust cows installation currenlty displaying in Woolacombe, having delivered a fabulously creative cow!
